This recipe calls for 1 kg of cream cheese, which made J winced and suggested that this first time should also be the last time we try such a luxurious recipe xD
My delicious slice of cheesecake with whipped cream (that wasn't whipped so well ;P) and a dollop of strawberry jam (The blueberry jam wasn't on discount promotion that week :P)

The magic blatterteig :D
Chocolate cake
This is another chocolate cake recipe which needs just one bowl (just pour everything in there :D) and no mixer is necessary.
The texture is rather dry though compared to the banana chocolate cake one.
I forgot to add the hazelnut chunks as the topping xD
So, as I added them when the cake was halfway baked, they didn't stick to the cake :P

Banana chocolate cake
This recipe is super duper easy, no need to use a mixer, and makes a very tasty moist "brownies kukus" like cake ;D
The whole cake:
I used angled cake pan, therefore the uneven surface (and cracks everywhere xD).
A slice of it with lots of whip cream topping :9

Martabak Manis a.k.a Terang Bulan
What you need:
- 1/2 kg flours (I used farina tipo "00", I think I used a bit less than 1/2 kg though, since the bowl was small >.>)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 7 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp vanilla powder (didnt have it though ;P)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 650 ml water (I just used around 500 ml though, seems it was already watery)
- some toppings : sugar, nutella, peanut butter, chocolate rice, raisins, condensed milk, cheese, etc ;D
- some butter to spread
How :
I have no mixer, so I did it all by hand, but I guess using a mixer would've made the batter rise better.
beat the eggs, pour them in the bowl of everything other than the water :D
mix them well, add the water gradually. Leave it for 1 hour.
For a serving, take 300 ml of the batter, add 1/4 tsp baking powder, mix it well.
Heat the teflon pan (for 15 mins the recipe said), then lower the heat, put some butter, and pour the batter. Sprinkle some sugar on top of it, wait until holes shown in its surface, close the pan until its cooked.
When it's done, spread some butter on top of it, then add any topping you like, fold it into two then cut it as u like. yumm ;D
My version was a fale though, I guess it didn't rise well. But, it was yumm nevertheless ;P

Apple pie / strudel
You need :
- 1 package of blatterteig/pasta sfoglia/ puff pastry
- 3 apples (I used red royal gala apples), peeled, cored, cut into small pieces
- 2 spoons of honey
- quite much shakes of cinnamon powder bottle :D
Then :
Pour the honey and cinnamon on to the apple slices, leave it while u roll the crust. You may wish to add some water to dillute the honey so it can be distributed quite evenly on the apple slices.
Preheat the oven (I set it on around 180 degree celcius, with lower and upper fire and fan).
Roll the blatterteig/pasta sfoglia/ puff pastry into quite a thin leaf, put the apple slices in the middle, fold the crust.
Bake it in the oven for around 45 mins.
Done ;D
I forgot to take a picture though >.>
it was looking lovely nevertheless, trust me :D

Poire Belle Helene
I ate such kind of "weird" dessert when I visited a small yet very popular dining place in Verona. It was served on a plate, a pear cut in half, horizontally and asymmetrically, served on a plate with hot chocolate sauce. But it was an excellent dessert indeed! The pear was as soft and tender as puddings because it had been boiled, yet it gave a different sensation. You know a bit gritty texture like how pears supposed to be.
This dessert was created by a famous French chef to honour the opera of La Belle Helene from Offenbach. The appropriate recipe is here.
Well, my version isn't as grandeur as that though :D
since the reason was just mainly because the pears that I bought (they were on sale >.>) were hard to bite. So I remember that dessert ;D
I didn't have any chocolate though for the sauce, so I just used instant chocolate pudding. Thus, instead of having cold, soft boiled pear with hot chocolate sauce, I had a cold chocolate pudding and soft, hot boiled pear xD
Phail, i know >.>
But but it was delicioussss *in a defensive tone*;P
So, here is what you need to make it:
- 3 Pears (It was pera williams; williams pear, I suppose? colored brown), peeled, cored, halfed / quartered
- 2 tbsp honey
- some water
- some cinnamon powder
- instant chocolate pudding, follow its cooking instruction ;P
Bring to boil the water and honey in a flat pan, add the cinnamon powder too. Lower the heat and set the pears so that all are in touch with the honeyed water, close the pan. Leave them until the pears are soft as you like.
Serve the pears with the pudding, add some whipped cream if u like ;P
the gorgeous picture will be coming up soon ;D
