Steamed cupcakes
More steamed goodies!
I just did 1/2 of the original recipe
Bolu Kukus
Bahan
200 ml susu cair plain
250 gr terigu segitiga biru (1-3/4 cup)
162.5 gr gula pasir (3/4 cup)
1 butir telur
1/2 sdm (20 gr) emulsifier (misalnya ovalet, tbm, sp 28)
vanila secukupnya (1 sdt)
pandan essence
Cara membuat :
Panaskan dandang, siapkan loyang muffin, beri alas kertas cup.
Masukkan semua bahan ke dalam kom mikser dan kocok selama 25 menit.
Setelah itu masukkan ke dalam mangkok/piring/baskom dan beri warna sesuai selera.
Masukkan adonan warna berselang-seling dalam papercup.
Masukkan ke dalam klakat/dandang dan kukus selama 15 menit dengan api besar.
In 2 batches I obtained 11 cupcakes =9
It is important that the recipe is followed to the T!
Especially the duration of the steaming part. I tried to save some measly 3 mins of the steaming duration on my first batch, and the cupcakes successfully shrunk after being taken off the steamer :D

Verdicts : this is truly that classical steamed cupcakes that I remember from my childhood. Minus the paper wraps I guess :D
